Sumba Cultural Research and Conservation Institute
Located in Waitabula, this donation-based cultural institution houses more than 500 artifacts from across the island, dating back to the 16th century. You can find displays of ancient photographs, pottery, and a project showing how tombstones were carved.
Kanabu Wai Waterfall
In the Sumbanese language, Kanabu Wai means “waterfall.” Don’t you think that this spectacular waterfall resembles an ancient Chinese painting? The water flows out of several gaps in the vast expanse of rock walls, with vegetation growing between them.
